Basic cotton style shin protector, super guard

Cotton basic has been the essential shin guard on the market since the 1980s.

The developer is Henk Kessler from Amsterdam. This man was the basis of many innovations in kickboxing.

The product was marketed by Sjak te Poel (Top Star) and was utterly Dutch.

The basis is a very sturdy PU filling with high resistance.

A cotton covering was used with three sturdy elastic bands and a velcro closure for proper attachment.

Very simple and highly effective. Nothing has changed in the design, but the production, like many other items, has disappeared from the Netherlands.

The effectiveness is unchanged, and I advise starting with this shin guard. Why?

You have to learn to kick correct first. Before you find the proper technique, you have to make many mistakes. This shin guard alerts you to what you are doing wrong. You feel pain.
